Aya received a Bachelor’s of Architecture degree from New Jersey Institute of Technology, and a Master’s in Architecture and Urban Design from Columbia University in New York. She also completed the Hospitality Design and Planning Professional Development Program at Harvard University. Aya has extensive experience in large-scale projects for the residential, commercial and hospitality sectors. She is a member of the American Institute of Architects (AIA), a committee member of the Women in Architecture (WIA) AIA Cleveland Chapter and an active volunteer at the Hunger Network of Greater Cleveland. She loves the outdoors, and is an avid cyclist and triathlete. Aya values and exhibits creative expression in all of her endeavors.
Shelli is the driving force behind HID. Shelli has a broad background in real estate and property management, and served in the United States Air Force as a crewmember on AWACS surveillance aircraft. Shelli possesses an excellent work ethic, strong leadership and project management skills; these skills are further complemented by her passion for design and construction work. As one who values continuous learning and teaching, Shelli is at the forefront of the latest trends in the field of design, space management and renovation. Shelli loves traveling with her family, being outdoors and hiking in the woods.
Gina’s background is in Human Resources with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology, and a Master’s in Positive Organization Development. She specializes in Leadership coaching and positive change management. Gina has a strong love for the arts and culture, a natural eye for design and the ability to make any space aesthetically pleasing. She has lived and traveled across the globe, and is able to bring her broad global experiences to each design project. Gina enjoys reading, discovering new cities and has a love for horses.
Joanna is an International award winning filmmaker and founder of Old Fool Films. She has a passion for converting spaces and creative hubs. She consults on the function and design of art spaces and her work has been featured in major design publications. Having lived in the major world capitals of London, Paris, Barcelona, New York, and Beijing, Joanna’s design aesthetic leans towards an urban, contemporary feel. In her adaptive reuse designs, she incorporates the history, culture, and context of an area in line with its new functions, resulting in a unique feeling to the revived space. Joanna splits her time between the Philippines and Thailand and she shares her global expertise and creative talents with the HID team.
